KOMADORI Bros: Brother Battle
NHK had a program called Digital Stadium where amature artists submit and show their work. I was really impressed with the KOMADORI Bros.; they were both internationally understandable and culturally insightful. Bizzare little stories with a touch of humor..
In this clip, the Bros. play a friendly game of ‘Jan, Ken, Pon’, or ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ as it’s known to many.. The losing brother is forced to do some activity, sort of like a challenge.. It’s hard to explain, and I don’t want to alter anyone else’s interpretation.. just watch the clip.
‘Komadori’ has two meanings; a type of bird and ‘stop-action’. The Bros. use stop-action animation in most of their videos, especially this one..
