TDV Street Fashion: Fashion Fight!
Two girls play frisbee one afternoon, then end up fighting, wrestling, and shooting each other with squirt guns.. What can I say? This is Japan.
We had a lot of fun shooting this clip. I rented a Cube car, bought a six pack of beers, and brainstormed different shooting ideas. The video is still quite popular.. I’m not sure why.. Well, yeah. I know why.

Kodak E-Revolution 2002: Mini OLED Screens
A short video clip of some mini OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) screens, apparently designed for cell phones.
Actually, at the dislplay booth, I thought I remembered reading these displays were prototype plasma screens, but my memory could be failing me; I couldn’t find anything online regarding plasma cell phone displays.. The crisp clarity of the video images on the tiny screens make it hard for me to believe they’re OLED..
This clip is from 2002, and it appears the Sanyo/Kodak OLED team has since been disbanded.. “Under a deal worked out between the two companies, Sanyo will first buy Kodak’s stake in the venture then shut it down.” - CDR Info

The King of Satellite Television Smut (article)
After working for television production companies for nearly three decades, the founder of 24-hour porn broadcaster Paradise TV realized that people do not pay real money for simple documentaries or cooking shows. “I started Paradise to make money,†he laughs in summing up his motivation to launch the porn channel that provides some of satellite television’s more - as he will gleefully admit - “stupid†programming.
FOMA P2102V Video Cell Phone Debut
A couple years ago, Docomo debuted what I believe to be the second generation of it’s popular video cell phone; the FOMA P2102V. I don’t think anyone had seen this kind of design yet; the screen twists and swivels perpendicular to the key-pad part of the body. It looked like a thin consumer level video camera with zoom, record, pause, and play functionality. I released this video two days after this model debuted. TDV Fashion Prance
It was a lazy morning, so I decided to call up some friends, rent a Cube, drink all day, and film some ‘creative’ commercials for TokyoDV’s Spring Fashion Line. This is b-roll from that day; kind of artsy crap, but people tend to like watching dancing girls and boobs.. I try to give power to the people. The girl in front is wearing a stylish pink Jr. Raglan with tapered cut to show shapliness. The Japanese Kanji on front says ‘Big Fake Breasts’… But hers aren’t fake, so we did some last minute alterations. See the commercial for TokyoDV Apparel here; Fashion Fight!.. Silly goodness is both silly and good.
Tokyo Digital News: Bikinis Hit the Air (article)
As the founder of pioneering satellite raunch network Paradise TV seven years ago, Michiyuki Matsunaga has since moved on to Tokyo Digital News, a slightly less provocative broadcasting station that transmits stories via the Internet and mobile phones in which the announcers are young girls clad in bikinis.
FOMA P2101V Video Cell Phone Debut
Docomo introduces the FOMA P2101V. This was over three years ago so nothing was on the market at the time. There were a lot of bugs with the phone at first and using the video function was expensive, but there was enough curiousity to keep it going strong. They still have the FOMA series, and from what I know, they sell well. I believe the price for the video transfer has reduced a bit too.. I wanted this video to capture the futuristic, space-age, Blade Runner feeling. The shots from the window in the beginning are at Shibuya crossing. See the next version of this phone here; the FOMA P2102V video.
