Shibuya Paradise: Digiko Girls
On my way to another shoot in Yoyogi Park, I stumbled upon the Digiko Girls ‘performing’ outside Hachiko exit in Shibuya.
The sun glistened off their shiny black boots as they squeeked out their latest tune..
No one seemed to mind they couldn’t sing since they provided colorful energy on an otherwise monotonous day.
TDV Street Fashion: Fashion Fight!
Two girls play frisbee one afternoon, then end up fighting, wrestling, and shooting each other with squirt guns.. What can I say? This is Japan. 
We had a lot of fun shooting this clip. I rented a Cube car, bought a six pack of beers, and brainstormed different shooting ideas. The video is still quite popular.. I’m not sure why.. Well, yeah. I know why.

Paradise TV Strives for Stupidity, Sex (article)

(Not Safe For Work!) The weather section from the Bathing Newscast at Paradise TV.
As you’ll see, the weather looks rough this time of year; winter storm warnings are in effect for most of Japan with gusts of wind exceeding 100 braziers per hour. Snow flurries causing problems with visibility will leave many dependant on nipply goosebumps for guidance.. And sudden swells along the coast warrant a rare winter typhoon warning with expected loss of morality..
Be careful out there; Japan has crazy weather patterns this time of year…

KOMADORI Bros. T-Shirt: Grab One Today!
The KOMADORI Bros. came out with a custom designed t-shirt a few years ago. I asked if I could sell it on TokyoDV. They obliged, so I had another excuse to ask Toku-chan to be my t-shirt model; she fills out shirts perfectly, making them irresistible.. She was one of the models for the TokyoDV clothing line video, Fashion Fight!
I’m not sure if the concept of this short video is apparent, but it came out basically how I wanted.. Woman looks seductively into camera searching for something. Woman gets surprised, grabs what is most precious to her; her t-shirt..

NHK had a program called Digital Stadium where amature artists submit and show their work. I was really impressed with the KOMADORI Bros.; they were both internationally understandable and culturally insightful. Bizzare little stories with a touch of humor..
Gundam is influential in a lot of KOMADORI’s work; Ohashi-san is a huge Gundam fan. In this video, the Brothers climb into big, Gundam versions of themselves and battle it out with katanas and finger ray-guns.. It’s hard to explain..

NHK had a program called Digital Stadium where amature artists submit and show their work. I was really impressed with the KOMADORI Bros.; they were both internationally understandable and culturally insightful. Bizzare little stories with a touch of humor..
In this clip, the Bros. play a friendly game of ‘Jan, Ken, Pon’, or ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ as it’s known to many.. The losing brother is forced to do some activity, sort of like a challenge.. It’s hard to explain, and I don’t want to alter anyone else’s interpretation.. just watch the clip.
‘Komadori’ has two meanings; a type of bird and ’stop-action’. The Bros. use stop-action animation in most of their videos, especially this one..

TDV Reports: ParadiseTV Bathing News
Not Safe For Work! Here we see Kozue Ikeda reporting the news while undressing and getting into a bathtub. There’s already a woman in the tub giving us a ‘rubber ducky cam’ view of laminated newspapers and other underwater goodies.
The clip is a tad long, but I was impressed with Ms. Ikeda’s elegant movements and didn’t want to edit any of her gracefulness.. Keep in mind this was shot outside, on the roof of the building, when it was about 8 degress Celcius..
