Tokyo Digital News: Bikinis Hit the Air (article)

Posted by tokyodv in Culture, Girls

Bikinis! As the founder of pioneering satellite raunch network Paradise TV seven years ago, Michiyuki Matsunaga has since moved on to Tokyo Digital News, a slightly less provocative broadcasting station that transmits stories via the Internet and mobile phones in which the announcers are young girls clad in bikinis.

Tokyo Motor Show 2005: Nissan GTR Proto

Posted by tokyodv in Cars, Culture

Proto! Some steamy close-ups of the new Nissan GTR Proto. As you can see, the style has changed a bit; the headlights more sleek. The curves more sensual. Nissan announced the Proto will hit the road in 2007. I guess we’ll see in about a year. Although it still looks a bit heavy to me, it’s quite a car and it drew large crowds of ‘oooh’s and ‘aaah’s.. There aren’t any girls in this clip as there wasn’t enough room on stage.. The car was able to speak for itself.

G-Cans: The J-Way of Handling Discharge

Posted by tokyodv in Culture

Hole!On one of the coldest days of the year, I traveled out to Saitama to witness G-Cans; a huge underground cavern built to control flooding in the area. The video does a decent job at showing the immensity of the place. Read the article to find out all the details: Journey to the Center of the Earth

One thing I found most interesting was the sound inside; a deep, howling echo from the wind. It was a bit freaky.. All sound in the clip is authentic, except for a small section where my friend kneels down to take a picture. I wanted to capture something photos couldn’t..

Winter Raving in the Park

Posted by tokyodv in Culture, Fashion, Girls

Freaks! This one brings back memories.. In the late 90s and early 00s, young Japanese would throw outdoor rave parties every Sunday afternoon in Yoyogi Park. They’d start early, around noon, and finish around 9pm. The parties have since been shut down, I think due to ‘noise’, but the spirit lives on.. Here we see a winter afternoon rave just starting out. I mixed in some cosplay freaks for some fashion and color.

The video size is small and the quality kind of crap, but it gives you a basic idea of how Japanese youth interpret Sunday as being ‘the day of rest’.

Japanese Arm Wrestling Girls

Posted by tokyodv in Culture, Fashion, Girls

Jiggle! This video is taken from the same night as the Japanese Cat Fighting clip; Two girls compete in the championship round of the arm wrestling event. At first, I thought the competition would be staged, kind of fake.. but these girls fought hard! So hard their bodies jiggled and shook from the intense power stuggle.. It was dead-locked for the longest time.. then ‘T-back Tart’ started to wear ‘Bunny-Ass’ down.. See the video for the outcome..

FOMA P2101V Video Cell Phone Debut

Posted by tokyodv in Culture, Technology

CYou!Docomo introduces the FOMA P2101V. This was over three years ago so nothing was on the market at the time. There were a lot of bugs with the phone at first and using the video function was expensive, but there was enough curiousity to keep it going strong. They still have the FOMA series, and from what I know, they sell well. I believe the price for the video transfer has reduced a bit too.. I wanted this video to capture the futuristic, space-age, Blade Runner feeling. The shots from the window in the beginning are at Shibuya crossing. See the next version of this phone here; the FOMA P2102V video.

Tokyo Motor Show 2005: Toyota Fine X

Posted by tokyodv in Cars, Culture, Fashion, Girls

Arse!A short, fast-paced video of some attractive new chasis coming out of Japan. There are some booth girls, but I also capture the photographers flashing and gawking.. Oh, and there’s a car as well; the Toyota Fine X concept car. It spins like a festival tea cup ride.. Guess for people who can’t make three-point turns..
